I purchased an Octive Tech 300C for my mother as an easy and convenient way for her to monitor her O2 sat level and heart rate. The unit came with a soft case with a lanyard and I also purchased the hard case for her to use. Both are of fine quality. Clinical Guard also sent a nice home digital thermometer as a gift. The 300C is very easy to use and fast for her to get a reading when she “poops out”. It is comfortable on her finger (she says) and even with her limited hand strength quite easy to open for finger placement (I say). I have no way to objectively verify the unit’s accuracy other than manually taking a pulse rate and using another oximeter to compare the O2 sat and BPM on the same finger…readings change over time…but I am very pleased with the 300C for my mother’s needs. Patient education is a key element. The use of this unit with a proper understanding of the reading values and how they relate to each other give my mother an advantage knowing when it is time to slow down and recover. The pulse oxymeter takes about 5 minutes to become accurate and the nebulizer is portable, but needs hot water to operate. Where do you get hot water when in your car?

oxymeter usually takes about 5-20 seconds to get stabilized readings, depends on the finger condition.

Please do NOT use hot water on a ultrasonic nebulizer! Normal tap water is strongly recommended!

In fact, I was quite surprised at how quickly you shipped my order. Having just completed a full-blown Pulmonary Function Test, the oximeter and peak flow meter are quite useful to compare to my benchmark from the pulmonoligist. There was excellent correlation between the test results from the PFT and your products.
